High School Basketball Player Signs with College after Nuss Surgery
The son of Mitch and Angie Hohlbein was having success — not only at the freshman and JV level his first two seasons — but in the summer with the Southwest Ohio Flyers AAU team.
It was later in that sophomore year, that the decision was made for Hohlbein to have Pectus Excavatum Surgery — something that would have stopped anyone with less passion or heart cold.
Basicially, Hohlbein had to have his rib cage re-built. The good news is after seven hours of surgery, which involved putting two titanium rods through his chest cavity — Hohlbein came back stronger than ever. In fact, his heart rate has improved since the surgery and he continues to strive to get more out of life.
