He does not sugar coat the procedure nor recovery. He does not over medicate. He is strict about what is required of his patient, but good outcome so far. 1 month post op. And doing great! Quick recovery. HI 8.3, 1 bar

He had the Nuss procedure done on 11/19/18. Dr. Stovroff made us feel so confident and his bedside manners were impeccable. He made himself available to us if we needed anything at all by providing us with his personal cell phone. He is a top notch doctor and extremely knowledgeable with pectus excavatum. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome and the follow up since my son’s surgery. Dr. Stovroff was very straightforward with what to expect after the procedure so we were well prepared going into it and knew exactly what needed to be done for a successful outcome. If you are looking for the best of the best for any pectus condition, Dr. Stovroff is the one!! I am forever grateful we found him ?

She has done exceptionally well with her bar in the last two years, and her pectus excavatum has been beautifully corrected! Dr. Stovroff did a great job with our first daughter, and we did not hesitate to contact him when we noticed that our second daughter also appeared to have pectus excavatum. Dr. Stovroff performed the Nuss procedure on our second daughter during the summer of 2018, and we have been so happy with her recovery and results also! Thankfully, no more of our children seem to have pectus excavatum, but we would not hesitate to go to Dr. Stovroff if they did. We are happy and confident in recommending Dr. Stovroff to anyone in need of the Nuss procedure to correct pectus excavatum! His results in our children have been amazing! I also want to give credit to Northside Hospital and their amazing nursing staff for their excellent care during the recovery process!

His willingness to listen to our concerns, extensive training and experience with the procedure, along with his open and honest communication style, offered the assurances our family needed to move forward with the surgery. He gives not only his skill as a surgeon but also his time and attentiveness as a compassionate person.

Dr. Stovroff performed the Nuss Bar Procedure on my 14 year old son on July 3rd at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. We were back home in Columbus on the 5th. He was available that next Saturday evening to answer questions we had about the recovery process.

If you are looking for an experienced surgeon to treat your child’s Pectus please call Dr. Stovroff and set up a consultation. It is truly one of the most important contributions we as parents have made to our son’s physical and emotional well-being.

He explained everything to my son and made sure he understood how the procedure would be done and how his recovery could be expected to go. After discharge, Dr. Strovroff gave us his cell phone number and told us to call if we had any questions or concerns over the next several days. Fortunately, we didn't have to do that, but it was comforting knowing that he was so open to communication. Recovery was rough for the first couple of weeks, but my son always said he was happy he had the procedure. He had no complications and recently had his bar removed at the 3 year mark, with a chest that looks perfect. I would highly recommend Dr. Strovroff to anyone considering this procedure!

Dr. Stovroff examined my son back in April 2018 after I was told by an Ortho that my son's condition would "go away on it's own". I found Dr. Stovroff by researching the condition on the web. Upon my first visit, I was a bit skeptical because he seemed overly confident. He talked to us initially in detail about bracing options. After further discussion, my husband and I decided surgery was the best option for our son. I called the office to talk to Dr. Stovroff about surgery and he called me back within the hour. He allowed me to ask all my questions regarding the surgery and what it would entail. The day of the surgery, Dr Stovroff gave us his person cell number while in Pre-Op. This shocked me as no Dr. has ever given us their personal cell phone. He walked us through the procedure and it went exactly as he explained. Afterwards, he visited my son in the hospital and called to check on him several times after being discharged. After several weeks, the bandages came off and I was dismayed to see how PERFECT my son's incision was! It was one of my biggest fears because he's only 15. He performed the Ravitch on my son and the deformity is completely gone and the scar looks like it will heal very nicely. I want to thank Dr. Stovroff for being the right surgeon for the job at the right time. My son no longer has to explain the pectus to his swimmates any more and will move foward with a greater sense of self....all because of Dr. Stovroff. Thank you so much!

We weren't sure what to expect from the surgery or the recovery, but her chest looked great immediately and has retained its corrected form for a year and a half. After the initial 6 week recovery time, our daughter resumed most of her normal activity and has remained 99% pain free since then! With our second daughter also possibly needing to undergoing the Nuss procedure this year, we are confident in Dr. Stovroff's ability and look forward to his excellent care of her.

Dr. Stovroff confirmed that he believed Matthew’s condition was significant and suggested the Nuss procedure. There was no pressure, just a thorough explanation of the procedure and what it would entail. Dr. Stovroff had a way of helping us feel at ease with his friendly, positive attitude. (I always feel more comfortable with a doctor who loves what he does, and it was obvious that Dr. Stovroff does!) The procedure went smoothly, and our son’s recovery was faster than anticipated. I still remember the heart-warming moment of seeing Matthew’s newly-corrected chest for the first time! Dr. Stovroff and his friendly staff were readily accessible before and after surgery, answering any of our questions or concerns. Dr. Stovroff has been just as interested and engaging during our follow-up appointments, as he was at the beginning. We would highly recommend Dr. Stovroff to anyone considering surgery for their child.
