TOPIC: Bar removal and what to expect

Bar removal and what to expect 4 weeks 2 days ago #8281

Hi everyone

I tried searching but didn't see any threads I that addressed this. Sorry if I missed them.

I am approaching getting my bars taken out (I have three that Dr. J put in almost three years ago) and I'm wondering what to expect for recovery. I know the removal is an outpatient surgery, but what I don't know is what restrictions are usually placed on you after removal. Anyone who's had Dr. J take their bars out, do you usually hang around Scottsdale for a few days for a post-op check out? Did you have to wait some amount of time (beyond normal time to heal from the incisions) to resume your normal activities?

Thanks!

I forgot a group of us are about due for removal. I just had a call with Dr. J's clinic to schedule my removal I assume you got your letter as well?. I don't have the exact details just yet, but from what I remembered over the phone, yes, you hang out for a couple of days and need to have an adult escort you out. (I think the lady on the phone said around 3-4 days, but my memory is fuzzy.)
