That would be hard to quantify, a lot would depend on your symptoms and what's happening on the inside which really only medical professional could determine.

From you photos, there does not appear to be any/much rib-flair (what happens when costal cartilage compensates for the inward growing sternum by growing excessively out at the bottom) which, if there were flaring I imagine would add quite a bit of extra work for a surgeon to correct besides the lifting out the PE part of the deformity. Apart from the flaring, hard to say, perhaps others on here could comment.

Thanks for the reply, I have only recently started to become self concious about my PE. I am going to book an appointment with my GP
